The Traditionals se forma el año 1997 en Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Influenciados por las viejas bandas Street Punk, aunque la banda forjo un sonido propio. A pesar de tener varios cambios en la formacion, la banda ha estado funcionando de forma continua durante los últimos 17 años. La banda ha lanzado 5 discos de larga duracion y ha realizado giras por la costa este de Estados Unidos en 1999, en Europa en 2006 y en 2011 para promocionar su último álbum "Steel Town Anthems".
