STAGE BOTTLES

A veces antisocial, ¡pero antifascista siempre! Esto traduce el título de uno de los discos de la banda alemana Stage Bottles. Formada en 1993, la banda es hasta hoy una de las bandas skinhead antifascistas más relevantes de la escena europea. El primer lanzamiento de la banda fue el mismo año de su formación y fue el EP “They are Watching Me” y al año siguiente llegó el primer LP: “”Corruption and Murder”. De aquí en adelante han sido cuatro más álbumes, además de la participación en recopilaciones, álbumes en vivo y splits.

Musicalmente la banda combina el punk rock, oi! y ska, y además de bajo, guitarra y batería, usan un saxofón. La formación actual es la siguiente: Olaf (voz, saxo), Marcel (guitarra), Easy Dan (guitarra), Kimba (bajo) y Simon (batería). Stage Bottles es una de las bandas más activas de Alemania, se jactan de haber tocado ya más de 400 conciertos y haber compartido escenario con The Oppressed, Angelic Upstarts, Los Fastidios, Klasse Kriminale y muchas otras luminarias de la escena punk y skin europea. Ellos mismos dicen que los orígenes de la banda están en la formación del movimiento SHARP en Alemania, por lo que están hasta ahora en la vanguardia de la escena skinhead antifascista.
